Built on the proven performance of the R29X platform, the R29X XK7 RDS Package pairs Ravin’s Jack Plate™ Adjustable Elevation Mount with a Single Dot Reflex Sight to create a purpose-built hunting system designed around speed, simplicity, and precision.
Originally developed for hunters in jurisdictions where magnified optics are restricted, the RDS package has also become a preferred setup for hunters who favor the clean sight picture and fast target acquisition of a single red dot system.
Mounted directly to the R29X Picatinny rail, the Jack Plate uses a calibrated sight tape matched to the R29X’s 450 FPS performance. As the elevation dial is adjusted, the mount mechanically raises and lowers the red dot to correspond with specific yardages—giving hunters an intuitive dial-to-distance aiming solution.
Combined with the zero magnification and zero parallax characteristics of the reflex sight, the system allows unrestricted eye position and rapid target engagement while maintaining precise point of aim.
Many hunters also choose a simplified fixed-yardage approach—setting the red dot at 30 yards to maximize usable point-of-aim coverage. With a 30-yard zero, impact remains approximately 1.5 inches high at 20 yards, 1.5 inches low at 40 yards, and only 4.25 inches low at 50 yards—allowing confident shot placement across common whitetail hunting distances using a single aiming reference.
