Level I Production Assembler (Summer Position)

NOW HIRING: SUMMER HOURS AT RAVIN CROSSBOWS!

Summer is just around the corner and school will be out soon! Are you looking for an opportunity to make a little extra cash?  Ravin is now hiring full-time, temporary employees for the summer months. Dates: June 9-August 21

  • Weekly pay
  • No nights or weekends
  • Closed on Independence Day
  • Available shifts: Monday – Thursday 6:30am – 5:00pm OR Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Level I Production Assembler is responsible for assembling Ravin products. The Level I Production Assembler will be responsible for using a variety of hand & power tools, fixtures, work instructions, following standard operating procedures (SOP), and to test equipment, and perform a series of operations to correctly assemble/test Ravin products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works proficiently in 1-2 work stations
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of current/future standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and safety procedures
  • Utilize torque wrench/driver and arbor press
  • Handle sharp cutting tools/objects
  • Utilize basic to intermediate math
  • Communicate immediately and clearly when issues arise
  • Produce minimal waste
  • Document work accurately
  • Attention to detail
  • Operate pallet jack to move packaged products and product components
  • Perform other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow detailed assembly instructions (SOP’s), processes and procedures
  • Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, and materials to Management in timely manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The Level I Production Assembler may be subject to standing long hours with repeated bending, lifting (20-50 pounds) and squatting. The Level I Production Assembler must be adept at fine motor skill manipulation with both hands. In addition, the Level I Production Assembler must write, speak, and understand English. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the physical demands and essential functions of this position.

Cycle Counter

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Cycle Counter / Production Assembler is responsible for conducting regularly scheduled inventory counts that may occur outside of regular business hours.  This position is also responsible for performing the duties of Production Assembler during the non-cycle counting portion of the workday.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs physical counts of materials (raw, work-in-process, finished goods, etc.)
  • Records results of physical count
  • Performs recounts, as required
  • Assists in physical inventories and cycle counts
  • Ensures product labels are correct and accurate to bin/box/tote contents
  • Assists in the coordination and reconciliation of inventory or location discrepancies associated with the cycle count process
  • Performs Production Assembler duties during non-cycle counting times
  • Performs other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate fork truck, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Operate counting scale and other material counting equipment.
  • Adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP), processes and protocols.
  • Maintains open communication between all departments.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of inventory management.
  • Previous manufacturing and lean experience, a plus.
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail with above average analytical skills.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data.
  • Solid judgement along with decision making skills.
  • Ability to take direction, work independently or in a team environment.
