PRODUCTION ASSEMBLERS (10 FULL-TIME POSITIONS)

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Calling all outdoor enthusiasts! Join our growing team. RAVIN CROSSBOWS is hiring 20 full-time Production Assemblers. This is an hourly position. 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Maintain detailed knowledge of current/future standard operating procedures (SOP’s), 5S program and safety procedures 
  • Utilize torque wrench/driver and arbor press 
  • Handle sharp cutting tools/objects 
  • Utilize basic to intermediate math 
  • Communicate clearly when issues arise 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Operate pallet jack to move packaged products and product components 
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized work environment 
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Wear safety glasses for 8+ hours 
  • Ability to manipulate small parts 
  • Stand 8-12 hours while working 
  • Ability to ork around paint and fumes using PPE

SHIPPING AND RECEIVING CLERK (FULL-TIME)

POSITION SUMMARY:

These positions performs inventory management for incoming and outgoing company products and parts necessary to manufacturing of products.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes reconciliation of receiving/purchase documentation
  • Notifies and/or delivers incoming components to quality assurance
  • Completes daily receiving entries in computer system
  • Responsible for managing all outbound shipments, including preparation of sequentially numbered paper work in software accounting system, management of packaging materials inventories, packaging of product to be shipped, and arrangement of transportation services UPS/FedEx software is to be used effectively and understood for summary reporting on request.
  • Distributes documentation, including transfer of all original documents, to purchasing supervisor for distribution
  • Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
  • Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions
  • Maintain cost efficiencies on freight for all domestic and international shipments
  • Manage electronic data interchange (EDI) and related procedures within SPS Commerce
  • Inventory management and quarterly reporting of finished product within warehouse
  • Generate metrics reports weekly and reports to management on a monthly basis
  • Continuous effort to improve efficiency in shipping and receiving operations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years of experience in production, shipping/receiving, and/or manufacturing
  • Delivery company software experience, a plus
  • Two year degree in shipping/logistics and/or advanced knowledge of production processing and organization in relation to shipping and receiving, a plus
  • Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills and problem solving abilities
  • Above average computer skills with word processing, spreadsheets, internet correspondence and research

POSITION SUMMARY:

These positions are responsible for reviewing and inspecting products to ensure they meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance. 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Record QA test data and observations
  • Organize and summarize test results and prepare related reports including statistical studies to assess conformance to requirements
  • Convey raw material and product quality issues to management
  • Perform actions to resolve issues and implement corrective measures
  • Maintain working knowledge of all instruments used for routine and non-routine sample testing and troubleshooting
  • Monitor measuring equipment performance
  • Assist other departments to ensure work is commensurate to standards, acceptance criteria and general quality policies
  • Ensure product evaluation complies with fit performance, grading, workmanship & technical viability
  • Resolve problems in conjunction with plant managers, production and engineering personnel

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two-year degree in shipping/logistics and/or advanced knowledge of production processing and organization in relation to shipping and receiving, a plus

PURCHASING MANAGER/BUYER

Calling all outdoor enthusiasts! Join our growing team. RAVIN CROSSBOWS is hiring two (2) full-time Purchasing Manager/Buyers. These are salaried position(s).

Position Summary:

The Purchasing Manager/Buyer is responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, services, sourcing and managing vendors. The successful candidate will perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of manufacturing to find more profitable and reliable suppliers. This position does not require managing others.

Role and Responsibilities:

Generate shipment, purchases and inventory reports, as well as inventory turns and forecast accuracy metrics for weekly and monthly business monitoring. Analyze performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend needed solutions and process changes
Develop analytical tools and reports in order to manage supply chain performance
Ensure that critical forecasting and inventory planning inputs and parameters are updated in planning system (customer forecast, new product introductions, lead times, stocking status, etc.)
Evaluate and adjust inventory-stocking levels based on past order history and performance levels in order to optimize costs and service. Analyze inventory levels to identify and make recommendations regarding excess and obsolete inventory
Source 3 tiers of suppliers for all products
Identify and recommend improvements to supply chain metrics and performance standards using research, supplier relationships, industry knowledge and best practices

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
Proven working experience as purchasing manager, agent or officer
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
Must have razor-sharp analytical skills and excellent MS Excel/Access skills are required
Ability to gather and analyze data
Solid judgement along with decision making skills
Strong leadership capabilities
