LEAN MANUFACTURING PROCESS SPECIALIST

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Lean Manufacturing Process Specialist will develop, implement, monitor and maintain efficient manufacturing processes and workflow. The successful candidate will provide hands-on process improvements using a combination of Lean Manufacturing with a focus towards optimizing labor resources and systems, flow creation, 5S and waste reduction. Thhis hands-on role will lead the tactical efforts towards the achievement of the strategic plan objectives. 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Organize, implement and maintain production process flow
  • Develop working instructions, workmanship standards and process documents, and ensure they are followed
  • Improve continually existing operation, for increased quality, productivity, efficiency and cost savings 
  • Facilitate value stream mapping 
  • Investigate operational problems affecting production and reporting and recommending solutions 
  • Manage manufacturing documentation required for product manufacturing i.e. revise drawing, SOP, accurate work instructions and workmanship standards and process procedures 
  • Provide manufacturing data i.e. production control charts, reliability, process capability, to improve the process and monitor and measure progress to target outcome 
  • Organize meetings with other team members to facilitate growth
  • Identify ways to reduce production inefficiencies through recommendations – i.e. new process equipment, equipment justification to improve performance 
  • Work with other relevant departments to determine estimated costs, run time, cost reduction and close the feedback loop 
  • Liaison with suppliers on manufacturing process 
  • Train and supervise staff on new development processes and technology 
  • Establish a training and quality culture 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 5+ years or related experience 
  • Proficient in value stream mapping 
  • Proven track record and working knowledge in manufacturing industry 
  • Exceptional knowledge of process and flow improvement 
  • Exceptional knowledge of Lean Manufacturing 
  • Proficient in Six Sigma and ISO methodology

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Production Lead will oversee personnel and manufacturing to develop and implement optimal cost-effective manufacturing processes, methods and controls in accordance with strict product specifications and quality standards. This is an hourly position. 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Maintain detailed knowledge of current/future standard operating procedures (SOP’s), 5S program and safety procedures 
  • Utilize torque wrench/driver and arbor press 
  • Handle sharp cutting tools/objects 
  • Utilize basic to intermediate math 
  • Communicate clearly when issues arise 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Operate pallet jack to move packaged products and product components 
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized work environment 
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

SHIPPING AND RECEIVING MANAGER AND COORDINATOR (FULL-TIME)

POSITION SUMMARY:

These positions performs inventory management for incoming and outgoing company products and parts necessary to manufacturing of products.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes reconciliation of receiving/purchase documentation
  • Notifies and/or delivers incoming components to quality assurance
  • Completes daily receiving entries in computer system
  • Responsible for managing all outbound shipments, including preparation of sequentially numbered paper work in software accounting system, management of packaging materials inventories, packaging of product to be shipped, and arrangement of transportation services UPS/FedEx software is to be used effectively and understood for summary reporting on request.
  • Distributes documentation, including transfer of all original documents, to purchasing supervisor for distribution
  • Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
  • Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions
  • Maintain cost efficiencies on freight for all domestic and international shipments
  • Manage electronic data interchange (EDI) and related procedures within SPS Commerce
  • Inventory management and quarterly reporting of finished product within warehouse
  • Generate metrics reports weekly and reports to management on a monthly basis
  • Continuous effort to improve efficiency in shipping and receiving operations.

POSITION SUMMARY:

These positions are responsible for reviewing and inspecting products to ensure they meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance. 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Record QA test data and observations
  • Organize and summarize test results and prepare related reports including statistical studies to assess conformance to requirements
  • Convey raw material and product quality issues to management
  • Perform actions to resolve issues and implement corrective measures
  • Maintain working knowledge of all instruments used for routine and non-routine sample testing and troubleshooting
  • Monitor measuring equipment performance
  • Assist other departments to ensure work is commensurate to standards, acceptance criteria and general quality policies
  • Ensure product evaluation complies with fit performance, grading, workmanship & technical viability
  • Resolve problems in conjunction with plant managers, production and engineering personnel
