  • Maintain detailed knowledge of current/future standard operating procedures (SOP’s), 5S program and safety procedures

  • Utilize basic to intermediate math

Position Summary:

Produce machined parts by setting up and operating a Haas computer numerical control (CNC) machine, or lathe while maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies.

Role and Responsibilities:

Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices
Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards
Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
Maintains clean, organized and safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
Keep a positive attitude and good work ethic for other employees to emulate
Documents actions by completing daily production and quality logs
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
Any other duties and/or responsibilities assigned by the Machine Shop Supervisor

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
Two year machine tool technician course preferred

Purchasing Manager/Buyer

Calling all outdoor enthusiasts! Join our growing team. RAVIN CROSSBOWS is hiring a full-time Purchasing Manager/Buyer . This is a salaried position.

Position Summary:

The Purchasing Manager/Buyer is responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, services, sourcing and managing vendors. The successful candidate will perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of manufacturing to find more profitable and reliable suppliers. This position does not require managing others.

Role and Responsibilities:

Generate shipment, purchases and inventory reports, as well as inventory turns and forecast accuracy metrics for weekly and monthly business monitoring. Analyze performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend needed solutions and process changes
Develop analytical tools and reports in order to manage supply chain performance
Ensure that critical forecasting and inventory planning inputs and parameters are updated in planning system (customer forecast, new product introductions, lead times, stocking status, etc.)
Evaluate and adjust inventory-stocking levels based on past order history and performance levels in order to optimize costs and service. Analyze inventory levels to identify and make recommendations regarding excess and obsolete inventory
Source 3 tiers of suppliers for all products
Identify and recommend improvements to supply chain metrics and performance standards using research, supplier relationships, industry knowledge and best practices

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
Proven working experience as purchasing manager, agent or officer
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
Must have razor-sharp analytical skills and excellent MS Excel/Access skills are required
Ability to gather and analyze data
Solid judgement along with decision making skills
Strong leadership capabilities
